Situated in the touristic center of La Paz near museums, art, folklore and markets, Hostal Provenzal is a great base for discovering all La Paz has to offer.
The colorful yellow and blue themed rooms are simple yet clean, featuring private bathrooms with hot showers, TV, telephone, free WiFi and balconies with scenic views of La Paz.
Due to its central location, the city-view rooms at Hostal Provenzal can be quite noisy, especially early in the morning. Guests who like to sleep in may want to ask for a room away from the street.
Breakfast is included in the room price and is typical hostel fare: a roll, jam and butter, juice and a hot drink. Guests can also make use of the bright and airy lounge on the hostels’ top level with book swap and DVD collection.
La Paz Life Quick Tip:
As voted the best way to travel around Bolivia and Peru, we highly recommend choosing Bolivia Hop as your means of transport. Their safe, flexible and trustworthy service have proven to be the best way of getting the most out of your time in South America!
Hostal Provenzal is very quiet and doesn’t have much of a social vibe; it’s more like a hotel in that respect. That being said, the hostel staff are very friendly, and can offer guided tours to the nearby Tiahuanacu ruins, Titicaca Lake, or to the tropical Yungas Mangroves and forests.
Hostal Provenzal may be no frills, but at such a low price, it’s hard to pass up a place that offers a decent night’s sleep in one of the best locations in La Paz.
Price: Single 145 Bs ($21 US) per room; Double: 248 Bs ($36 US) per room.
